Organization Management
Editors on the platform have an "Organization" tab in their Dashboard where you'll find several tools for managing your site.
Below is an overview of each category you'll find under your Organization tab.
Organization Basics:Here you can edit the name of your organization and upload or edit your masthead image. Also, you'll see an option to adjust the highlight color of your site.
Payment Details:This directs you to Stripe, our payment service provider, where you'll see a list of recent payments made to your account. This is also where you go to complete or update your payment information. We have no access to your financial information and this feature exists so that editors can get paid. We use Stripe to manage the financial aspects of the site since they have a long record of doing this well for many sites you're probably familiar with. If you're interested, here is their . Once you enter payment details, options to advertise, receive supporter donations, send newsletters, and manage members will become available.
Advertising Prices:This is where an editor has the option to adjust prices for website and newsletter advertisement levels. Your selections here will be immediately reflected in the form seen when purchasing an ad. Changes made here will only affect the future costs for advertisers. Recurring advertisement payments that started before making changes here will stay the same. If you're an editor or commissioned sales person, you'll find additional resource pages regarding these options.
Supporter Prices:Here you have the ability to adjust one-time and recurring supporter donation levels. You may also edit the names of each donation level if you'd like.
Manage Members:Here is where editors grant users the ability to post directly to the main news feed as reporters or contributors. This is also where an editor can add a salesperson and set their commission. Read more about these options in the Managing Members page.
Manage Locations:This brings you to a form where you can add other nearby towns that your news organization covers. Once locations are added here, users will be able to make posts to the specific towns or across the entire organization.
Entering links to social media accounts you've created for your organization will let you better present your articles on those accounts. Also, when you enter social accounts for your organization here, links to them will appear in the newsletter sign-up section of your site.
This is where you'll find new features we're trying out or temporary ones such as making changes to your newsletters. Here you'll have the option to disable or alter those features if you'd like.
Here, an editor can expand the organization's audience by adding their contacts to the newsletter mailing list. This topic, along with sending newsletters and breaking news announcements is covered in the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøletters and Email help page.
About and Advertise With Us Pages:Edit the general information about your news organization shown when users click "Contact Us" at the bottom of your site or personalize your message to potential advertisers displayed when users click "Advertise." Click the light blue "Edit" button at the bottom-center of the page.
